Text encoding - descriptive
Refers to the addition of character and symbols at certain places in a text in order to convey information about concrete and abstract concepts (i.e. genres, topical subjects); its logical structure (i.e. identification of headings, paragraphs); its linguistic components (i.e. PoS-tagging, phonological and morphological markup); or about concrete and abstract named entities (i.e. identification of personal names, geographic names).
