ICT Methods Taxonomy

The ICT Methods Taxonomy was originally developed for the Arts and Humanities Data Service by Reto Speck; the project was led by Sheila Anderson.

The Taxonomy has since been updated by a group of researchers coordinated by Torsten Reimer (Centre for e-Research(CeRch) at King's College London) and including Dot Porter (Digital Humanities Observatory, Dublin) and Anna Winterbottom (Oxford e-Research Centre). The Methods descriptions were developed by Sarah Middle and Valentina Asciutti, with some input from Torsten Reimer at CeRch.

A Methods Taxonomy working group will be set up to develop the Taxonomy further. We are also in the process of evaluating a transforming of the Taxonomy into a Linked Data hub to allow others to include the Taxonomy into their projects.

Currently, the Taxonomy is implemented in the www.arts-humanities.net project and the DRAPier project; a new database is currently under development at the Oxford e-Research Centre.
