Digital Arts & Humanities Bibliography

The Digital Arts & Humanities Bibliography is a general, introductory bibliography. It does not aim to be a comprehensive list of everything ever published; instead, we hope to provide you with a good starting point for further research. As such, it is very much a work in progress.

We have provided different ways to access the bibliography.
The standard view is the most powerful: you can sort by author, title, year and type of publication; this can also be combined with a filter that only displays items with a certain tag or by a certain author. This view also allows you to export the whole bibliography in various formats.
Search & Browse allows you to search for keywords and also categorises the bibliography according to disciplines and keywords.

You can also suggest items to be included into the bibliography. Please do keep in mind that the bibliography is meant to be a general, introductory resource: publications should be of general importance and should not be too specialised. Also, we aim to keep the bibliography relatively short.

Browsing and sorting in the bibliography:

  • After you have sorted all the records, or the results of a search, clicking the same sort field (e.g. Author, Year) again at the top of the page will reverse the sort order.
  • If you sort by a different field, you will stay on the same page number, rather than returning to page 1, e.g. if you have sorted the records by Author, have navigated to page 5, and then sort the results by Year, you will be automatically taken to page 5 of the results of sorting by Year.
  • If you use a filter, this filter will be stored and any further filters you use will be added to the original filter, unless you click the ‘Clear All Filters’ link at the top of the results page.
