event: Traditional educational repositories v. Web 2.0 resource sharing

The EdSpace Project, a JISC-funded Project based at the University of Southampton, which has developed EdShare, is pleased to invite you to a workshop entitled “Traditional educational repositories v. Web 2.0 resource sharing”.

This workshop is aimed at educational developers, learning technologists, librarians, heads of elearning, and heads of IT. The event has been designed to explore issues that the EdSpace Team have experience with, which you may also have experience with or may wish to learn about. These issues relate to the changing nature of educational repositories, and the impact of web 2.0 sharing environments and services for educational resources.

An outline agenda for the event is:

12:30-1:30 LUNCH

1:30 Brian Kelly , UKOLN: presentation from a national web adviser to the HE community on the future

for educational resources and services on the Web

2:15 Discussion: Legal, security, IPR and other formal issues for educational shares

3:00 My favourite Web 2.0 features – invited contributions and exchanges from attendees
