event: Digital Storytelling

19/11/2009 - 09:40
19/11/2009 - 16:40

No more death-by-PowerPoint! Audio slideshows offer an alternative, powerful and cost-effective way to tell stories online. This one day practical course will provide you with the skills to use and combine sound and image to create effective stories for the cultural heritage sector.

You will also learn about the different ways digital story telling is already being used: the BBC, Guardian, Christian Aid and Medecins Sans Frontieres are just some of the organisations who truly understand the power and cost effectiveness of audio slideshows.

This practical workshop will explore the different uses of digital storytelling and show how effective it can be on the web, in presentations, as a fundraising tool, as a way to engage younger people, as a method of engaging with your local community, as a tool for interpretation and many more.
