event: AHDS workshop for staff working in Research Support Offices at Higher Education Institutions
This workshop, run by the Arts and Humanities Data Service, is aimed at staff working in Research Support Offices at Higher Education Institutions.
Many Research Offices at Higher Education Institutions are still unsure about how to best advise their researchers when it comes to dealing with digital outputs from their research. The AHDS Workshop for Research Offices aims to cover each of the relevant themes, giving delegates a coherent idea of how they should advise researchers in their institutions. This includes
* Project and Risk Management
* Digital Curation and Preservation
* Paying for Preservation
* Legal and Ethical responsibilities
Staff from each of the AHDS Subject Centres will be present on the day and delegates may book surgery sessions with AHDS staff to speak about the issues facing their own institution or projects they advise. Informal lunch and coffee breaks will also give delegates the chance to speak to AHDS staff and other delegates that are present.
The workshops are open to any institution or individual who is advising and supporting research at their institutions.
