blog: Inquiry: Data Repository for the Humanities

Philipp Ischer's picture

The Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research is actually writing a report on the construction of a national repository for the humanities. I am part of the team which is in charge of preparing this report. I will write the international part where I describe the organizational and institutional situation in different countries regarding the sustainable storage of research data in the fields of the social sciences and the humanities.

At the moment I am collecting and searching useful information. I have enough information about the data repositories in the field of social sciences. But I don’t know enough about the situation in the humanities. It would be of a big help to me if you could give me some information’s how – for example – the Germans or other are tackling this problem.

Best regards

Philipp

See the OAD (Open Access Directory) lists of repositories organized by field:

(1) Data repositories

(2) Disciplinary repositories (mostly for texts)

If you find any repositories not already listed, please add them. (OAD is a wiki; editing requires registration, but registration is free and easy.)
